What is deck machinery

Definition:

1.  The general term for mechanical equipments installed on outdoor deck.

2.  Mechanical equipments typically installed on the deck to provide services for ship navigation, mooring, loading , unloading, and towing.

Overview:

Deck machinery, that is, ship deck machinery, is the mechanical equipment installed on the deck of the ship, which is an important part of the ship. It is to ensure the normal navigation of the ship and the mechanical equipments and equipments required for the ship to dock, load and unload goods, and board and unboard passengers.

There are many types and forms of deck machinery.The installation places  are scattered.Many of them do not work often, and some of them need to change speed and direction frequently, and some have some special requirements, which are related to the use of the ship and the navigational waters.
